It seems that all the characters in the story of Lazarus have a part to play and an opinion to express. All except Lazarus: we never hear his thoughts about coming back from the dead, he simply comes "forth."

Fleeing the Plantation

When David rises from the dust and cries out to God for mercy after the death of his son by Bathsheba, he models freedom for us. He will not allow his guilt to keep him in bondage that cripples him in service to his Lord, and neither should we.
